I love this photo. I had it as my desktop for a long time. It's the Lake Clementine Dam, above Auburn, California, spring 2004. The water was running high, and that log perched on the face is about 30 feet long, just waiting to roll over the top of the dam.
And this is my oldest, Emily, at the fish hatchery in Rancho Cordova, last November, 2004.
